The red version stands for high hardness and is ideal for intensive grinding work (heavy cut). The yellow sponge has medium hardness and is perfect for medium sanding work (medium cut). The green version is softer and ideal for final sanding (finish cut). The blue sponge is particularly soft and ideal for applying waxes.
